The City’s 18th Mayor, Carol Siciliano-Kilway, is a lifelong Tallmadge resident and the first female Mayor serving the City of Tallmadge. She is a graduate of Tallmadge High School and Kent State University with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration. Prior to becoming Mayor, she spent 35 years as the Controller at her family’s business, Circle Mold & Machine Inc., located in Tallmadge.
Carol served on city council for 12 years (2012-2023) as a ward councilwoman, at-large councilwoman, and council president. During this time, she worked to improve the function of city government from guiding city council through the COVID-19 shutdown to streamlining processes and agendas. As a councilwoman and now as mayor, Carol is proud of the city and residents she represents.
She is married to her husband Tom, a Category Manager of COP at Atlantic Food Distributors in Canton and a 40-year veteran on the Tallmadge Fire Department. Carol and Tom have 3 children: Dr. Courtney Kilway-Kluever is an Emergency Medicine Resident Physician at Summa Akron City Hospital and married to Dr. Matthew Kluever; Amanda Kilway BS, MBA, JD is an attorney with Brennan Manna Diamond in Akron; and Tommy Kilway is a Senior Finance Major at Kent State University and Captain of KSU’s ACHA D1 Hockey Team.
Carol is active in the Tallmadge Rotary Club, Tallmadge Chamber of Commerce, and St. Matthew Catholic Church. In her free time, she enjoys watching hockey, especially her son’s games, and spending time with family.
