Employment Opportunities
The city of Tallmadge Department of Human Resources and the Civil Service Commission handle all employment opportunities for the city, including the Tallmadge Recreation Center.

Libraries
Prior to its current location, the Tallmadge Branch Library opened in a storefront in 1961 and moved into an 8,700-square-foot building located at 32 South Ave in 1977. This building was owned by the city and built for library purposes with funds from the city income tax. On Oct. 2, 2000, the Tallmadge Branch Library opened at 90 Community Road next to the Tallmadge Community Center.

Our History
Tallmadge was founded in 1807 by the Reverend David Bacon as part of the Connecticut Western Reserve.

Recreation Center
The City of Tallmadge Recreation Center is a 100,000 square-foot health, fitness, wellness and recreation center that serves the residents of the community by providing high quality facilities and programs that enhance the quality of life for all.

Tallmadge City Schools
Tallmadge City Schools consist of three buildings organized as a K-5 elementary (Tallmadge Elementary School), 6-8 middle (Tallmadge Middle School) and a 9-12 high school (Tallmadge High School).
