What are my responsibilities and requirements for pouring a new driveway approach?
You must purchase a $50 permit and $100 bond through the Zoning Department which may be reached at 330-633-0090 and is located on the first floor of:
City Hall
46 North Avenue
Tallmadge, OH 44278

The approach must be at least 20 feet wide, and no wider than 30 feet. Residential approach must be 3 inches thick for asphalt and 6 inches thick for concrete in the right of way. Commercial approach must be 5 inches thick for asphalt and 7 inches thick for concrete in the right of way. Please see attached specifications.

Call the Street Department at 330-633-5130 to schedule a pre-pour inspection BEFORE you pour, at least 12 hours in advance, and a final inspection to receive your bond refund.
