The City of Tallmadge has received The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for our Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the last 24 consecutive years (1992-2015). This is a prestigious national award from the Government Finance Officers Association of U.S. (GFOA) and Canada for conformance to the highest standards for preparation of government financial reports.


In 2016 the city participated in the GFOA's Popular Annual Financial Reporting (PAFR) Award Program for the first time and received the award for its 2015 PAFR report. The program was created in 1991 by the GFOA to encourage and assist state and local governments to produce high quality popular annual financial reports specifically designed to be readily accessible and easily understandable to the general public and other interested parties without a background in public finance.
